Averting a Big Box of Double Indemnity
(Post-Bankruptcy Litigation) – Janas provided financial advice and support to four former owners of their shelf-stocking and servicing company serving a single big box customer. When that customer decided to move shelf-stocking in-house, the four owners were forced into liquidating their company in Chapter 7 bankruptcy due to debts and related lawsuits. Subsequently, the former owners were sued individually based on one of the dismissed cases. Janas prepared detailed financial information that proved the Company was solvent at the time of the filing. The Firm actively engaged with counsel and the claim was settled in Mediation with a favorable result.
